Composer Gene Pritsker has written over 900 compositions, including chamber operas, orchestral and chamber works, electro-acoustic music, songs for hip-hop and rock ensembles, etc. All his compositions employ an eclectic spectrum of styles and are influenced by his studies of various musical cultures. Genes music has been performed all over the world at various festivals and by many ensembles and performers. He has worked closely with Joe Zawinul, orchestrating and arranging an album of his music for the Absolute Ensemble (the last recording Zawinul ever did)

Cloud Atlas, starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry directed by Tom Tykwer, Lana & Andy Wachowski.  He has also written 'The Cloud Atlas Symphony' based on some of the musical material from the motion picture. The 6th movement of this symphony is used in the closing credits of the movie. The score form Cloud Atlas has been nominated for the Golden Globe award.
